Clarity Umbrella become Suffolk Chamber of Commerce Member
In July 2024, Clarity Umbrella has become a member of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce to raise it’s profile within Suffolk.
Our MD, Lucy Smith, commented “that although our client base is based all over the UK, this will give Clarity Umbrella the opportunity to try and grow the business in our home county of Suffolk. We are really pleased to become members of the Chamber, and look forward to networking more within our region”.
Umbrella companies generally tend to deal with recruitment agencies as their point of contact for contractors on assignment, however here at Clarity we are pleased to work with many end clients through direct engagement without a recruiter partner in the chain.
As part of our membership we have also agreed to sign up for the Gender Equality in Business Pledge…

Suffolk Chamber of Commerce believes strongly that a more diverse workplace will deliver better results for Suffolk and for Suffolk businesses.
The pledge outlines a set of commitments that organisations can use to assess where they are today, and to commit publicly their support for gender equality in the workplace by signing up to the Charter.
These commitments include:
- Acknowledging and advancing equality in your business, in particular at board and senior management level
- Identifying a board level/senior manager sponsor for equality and charter commitments
- Removing any obstacles faced by employees a. at major points of career development b. in major points of life change, including (but not limited to) return to work post maternity/paternity leave c. reviewing basic workplace provisions such as facilities, shift patterns, transport and flexible working
- Supporting equality and diversity through all staff training (including the identification of unconscious bias in the workplace and in recruitment) and as to how you engage with your staff
We very much look forward to buidlign our relationship with the chambers and it’s members over the coming months.
